20 juried artists will be participating in the Gamble Garden's 2010 Paint Out.
Artists will paint in the gardens on Saturday from 9 a m to 2:30 p m.

Los Gatos Plein Air

The artists have three days to paint in and around the charming village of Los Gatos. The town is nestled against the Santa Cruz mountains, providing views of quaint cottages, hillside vineyards and the redwood forest. This will be Julia's second year participating in the Los Gatos event. Saturday June 5th from 11 to 6 pm the show and silent auction will take place at Old Town.

This is the second year Julia has joined the central coast artists in supporting the "Follow the River, Follow the Dream" art festival in Paso Robles. The day is full of activities supporting the arts; a gallery exhibition in "Studios on the Park", a quickdraw at 9 am and live auction, an all day exhibition and sale of 80 artists' works set up around the historic town square. There will be live entertainment, food and wine tasting all day. Exhibits will be up till 6 pm Saturday.

Carmel Art Festival

The 17th Carmel Festival begins Wednesday evening with artists covering the Monterey Peninsula painting subjects as diverse as the magnificent coastline, picturesque cottages and working farms.
This will be the fifth time Julia has been selected for this very prestigious event.

Westward Ho - Deserts and Canyons of the American West

The Portola Art Gallery presents "Westward Ho" Deserts and Canyons of the American West by Julia Munger Seelos of Redwood City. Inspired by the dramatic backdrops of the classic movie westerns, Julia dreamed of seeing the American West first hand. In her oil paintings, created on location in the canyons of Arizona, the mountains of Colorado and the deserts of California, she has followed in the footsteps of the great artists that helped open the West such as Albert Bierstadt, Gilbert Munger and Maynard Dixon.
The reception will have Navajo flute music from the canyon as a background.
